Maria’s first daughter, Luisa, grew up close to her. From a young age, she learned to sew, hem, baste, patch, and much more. Eventually, Maria expanded her business; She designed and made all types of gowns. Through this, she built a successful business in Venezuela. At the age of 21, Luisa graduated with a degree in Business Administration and started her career and family. Almost a decade ago Maria and Luisa moved to Texas from Venezuela. At this time they began to work in DFW and together advanced their knowledge of alterations and the modern bride experience in the United States. In 2016, Luisa and Maria opened their first Bridal Alteration Shop, named after Luisa’s younger daughter, Andrea. During this time, Adriana, Luisa’s older daughter, and Maria’s first granddaughter joined their business and journey at the age of 15. Together they expanded the Bridal Alteration experience and Industry in Plano, Texas. Currently, Andrea’s Bridal Alterations team has over 150 years of experience in the Bridal Industry; and is a three-generation mother and daughter business!!!
